@walk_hackney I was told the bowling green was still in use as late as 2003. The miniature railway and boating lake were gone during the early 1960s as far as I’m aware. The bandstand was torched in 1966.

@EUtopean Why? The entrance would have been further into the park with the the river going underneath it. Cannot think of another option. The miniature railway ran along Church St and later along the small pond. So could be.
